Description

A partial, but interesting result.

I wanted to acquire images from the EOS 2000D camera with the Nebulosity 4.4 program in software binned 2x2 mode.

This mode when compared to RAWs allows for smaller files and shorter processing times.

It also usually allows for longer exposures.

Of course the tradeoff is in resolution.

I wanted to see if with the relatively large aperture (and hence resolution) of the C6 and the relatively long focal length (about 1020 mm) it works when paired with the nominally 0.63X focal reducer, I could still maintain enough resolution to mke the result interesting.

The sky's transparency was bad, in the end I had to limit light collection to less than 30 minutes because mist set in, but the final image nevertheless shows filaments inside M1 and I was also able to do 30 seconds exposures with a 75% success rate.
